I went back and forth calling PayPal support and submitting tickets to SecondLife support, but I finally managed to add my PayPal account to my SecondLife account ☀️

The cause was that my credit card wasn’t verified…

The link to verify the card said “Please verify your card if you want to use your PayPal account without payment or withdrawal limits” — I thought “I don’t need unlimited use” so I skipped verification. Then SecondLife’s error message said it couldn’t register because a bank account verification was needed, so I never realized the credit card was the problem 😅

It’s a simple rookie mistake, but I hope it helps anyone else in the same situation 😀

(And Misskey is amazing for letting me write this much!)
